Young loves, football, secret cigarettes, pranks to the teacher and their classmates, dreams about the future… These are the main worries of four young boys living at a boarding school in the 70s. But, soon, a tragic incident will change their lives forever. One of them is haunted by the devastating event, a phrase ringing in his head: “And, if you want to know, it’s your fault he’s dead!” Years later, they search for the truth, but can they trust their own memories or will they have to rely on their friends’ versions, as painful as those may be?
A very sensitive coming-of-age novel about the powers and characteristics of memory, guilt and adulthood.
