Having passed the test of the person who writes to read what he has experienced, Z.Z. has managed to take her writing to a level where, almost unintentionally, unlikely intermarriages flourish between the invisible forces of life. Through traveling needles, calf heads given as presents, strange fingers and all manners of transformations, an otherworldly depth claims the book as its roof. It is left to the reader to suspect that similar psyches see literature not as the ultimate achievement, but merely as a noble compromise.
