Lila Konomara was born in Athens. She studied contemporary literature in Paris and worked as a teacher at the French Institute of Athens. She first appeared in literature in 2002 with the book Macao (Polis, 2002; Metaixmio, 2005; Kedros 2018), for which she was awarded the Prize of Emerging Author offered by Diavazo magazine. She also translates French literature and writes for newspapers and literary magazines.
