Thanassis Petrou was born in Thessaloniki in 1971. He studied French Literature in Thessaloniki and Paris and has a Master in Sociolinguistics.
In 2002 he won the first national comic prize of “9” magazine and he begun working for the magazine.
In 2005 he finished his studies in Akto comic school, with a mention. He has published comics and cartoons in the main magazines and newspapers in Greece and he has participated in major festivals in Greece and other countries.
Since 2012 he is teaching Sketch-Comics-Cartoon. In 2015 he participated at the collective exhibition “Ella” at Tricromia gallery in Rome and in the Ravenna festival.
He illustrated and sometimes wrote the scenarios for the following comic books :

The corpse, Jemma Press 2011, received the first Cover Prize in Comicdom Athens and the prize of the best comic in EBGE rewards. In May 2015 it was published in France by Steinkis.
Giousouri and other fantastic stories, 2012, Topos editions received the Best Comic Prize in Comicdom Athens.
Actors, 2013, Cartoonark, received the Mention of EBGE rewards.

The book received the best illustration price 2015.
