Short Stories
From one end of the earth to the other, heroes bound together by the ties of a difficult coming-of-age. They all seem like members of a vast dysfunctional family. They live in houses or institutions threatened by their own structural materials. Thrown into the world, they measure the depths of themselves in the face of critical personal decisions or social changes. In pursuing their dreams, they tear down the illusions of an unassimilated past; their present becomes a crucible for unresolved issues and colors their future with shades of anxiety. Only a sacrifice or a miracle can unlock the prisons in which they themselves are trapped or in which they trap others. Usually moments before everything is lost a gesture of courage, love, or redemption leads to the next life story, secretly connected to the previous one with equal anguish. Faith is earned through many losses and through an act that transcends human egoism.
