Lenis’ talk to an apple tree is a play inspired by greek folk song. Leni narrates a part of her life sitting alone in a room of her house. She is a woman from greek countryside. She lives alone and makes her living from her land. The reason for her story is the claim that her apple tree belongs to the new owner of the field next to hers. But the apple tree of the new owner is the Apple Tree for Leni. Leni’s Apple Tree gradually changes into Leni’s Speech which the domineering patriarchal discourse did not allow her to articulate until now. But Leni, proud, without shame for her life, and without any guilt for her life, up to this point which her narration begins, will stand up and defend her choices.
