The ancient Egyptians, when talking about the sea, said: the great green. The ancient Egyptians sailed the Nile but feared the open green pelagic sea. They didn’t dare. They never became seafarers. They made the Cretans do the trade and shipping for them.

The big green is the challenge we never accepted. All the bold ideas we didn’t realize. All the adventurous trips we didn’t take. All the loves we dreamed of. The big green is the hope that we will one day dare.
