A minor writer of erotic literature is invited by a mysterious organization to receive an award for his “bold, innovative, and groundbreaking work.” When he discovers that the prize is a card that supposedly hypnotizes every female, turning her into an obedient servant of his erotic desires, he thinks he has fallen victim to a tasteless prank, but soon discovers that the card’s powers are real and becomes embroiled in a series of adventures and trials, because while he is tempted to use the unprecedented power he has been given, he is simultaneously torn by moral and ethical dilemmas that prevent him from doing so.
