Thanasis Petrou was born in Thessaloniki in 1971. Ηe studied French Literature and holds a Master in Sociolinguistics. In 2005 he graduated from AKTO faculty of design. From 2005 until 2011 he was working at the “9” comics magazine of “Eleftherotypia” newspaper and since 2012 he teaches at AKTO college. Αmong other titles, his work includes The Corpse  (script Tasos Zafiriades-Yannis Palavos, Jemma Press, 2011 – first Cover Prize in Comicdom Athens and praise in EBGE Greek Illustration Awards), Gra-Grou (script Tasos Zafiriades – Yannis Palavos, Ikaros editions, 2017 – Best Greek Comic Book and Best Script in Comicdom Athens 2018).  The Corpse was published in French under the title Le Croque-Mort (Steinkis ed., 2015, translated by Jean-Louis Boutefeu).
