A semi-autobiographical story about how to deal with loneliness and one’s trans identity as a teen while living in a family plagued by domestic violence. The protagonist’s main struggles are dealt through the means of fantasy, art, and a male doll that serves as an inner positive voice.
The project is more based on real emotions rather than real events, and so far it’s been something that people have found themselves identifying with regardless of trans or cis identities. It’s a story about coping mechanisms, finding hope through art and positive relationships, and finding the courage to create and claim your own identity.
