Georgia Karantona is a PhD candidate in Children’s Literature at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Thessaly, and Head of the Greek Children’s Library of London. She took part in international conferences, she published the book Graphic Novel and the Holocaust (Ropi, 2022) as well as articles and reviews regarding history didactics, and Holocaust Education. Her main research interests include contemporary holocaust literature, ethics, and memory, and she is currently researching visual representations of the Shoah. She completed postgraduate courses about Holocaust Education (University of Cambridge, Tel Aviv University and Center for Holocaust Education, UCL). She worked as Head of GCSE at Saint Cyprian’s Bilingual School, South Lonon (2019-2023). In 2021 she took part in the consultation for the new Holocaust learning programme at Imperial War Museum, London.
