Captain Michalis is a man with a wild reputation following him. The events take place in Crete in 1889, when the enslaved Greeks attempt a new rebellion against the Ottoman empire.

Based on the historic conflict between Ottomans and Greeks, Captain Michalis depicts man’s will for justice against tyranny, the fight for freedom against death and the never-ending internal clash between right and wrong.
